Road Race Results!

Another Joseph Sheehan Road Race is in the books. The weather Sunday was beautiful. Sunny and clear. The competitors enjoyed the challenging course.

Wow! Great job by all of our volunteers yesterday. 35 volunteers came out and supported the race. 86 riders raced from Leavenworth to Atchison on the 50.2 mile course. The race went off without a hitch. The awards dinner at Metropolitan Steak House was great and we will continue that for next year.

Team Results: Nancy Angel placed 2nd, and Deborah Hall placed 3rd, Anne Kuester finished 4th, Wendy Guilbeau finished 5th and Cathleen Burrell finished 6th in the ladies category 4 race. Mark Ramsden placed a strong 8th in the men's category 4 race. Mark Berry raced well in the men's 5 race and until about a 1/4 mile from the finish had 2nd locked up. He was chased by the lead pack and finished 5th overall. Wes Revels finished 11th, Jeremy Smith finished 18th, and Rob Wilshusen finished 13th in the 40 +.
